Power On Offers New Release of Public Beta of Now Up-to-Date & Contact

Palm® Conduits for Mac OS X Enhanced

Columbus, Ohio — March 12, 2002 — Power On Software, an Inc 500 Company, has updated its public beta of the Palm conduits for Now Up-to-Date & Contact®, the #1 best-selling calendaring and contact management software in the history of the Macintosh. The beta is a free download and is available now from the Power On web site at:

http://www.poweronsoftware.com/beta/beta.asp

The Palm conduits allow users of Now Up-to-Date & Contact to synchronize their schedules and contacts with their Palm computing handheld devices, including products from Handspring.

The update permits users to synchronize their contacts using the new OS X native conduit architecture, even on machines containing Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X on the same partition of their hard drive. Power On has enhanced the safety of the synchronization process by providing backup capabilities so that users can revert to pre-synchronization status if they desire.

Pricing and Availability

Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 4.1.1 is available now, and the new Mac OS X conduits will be released upon the successful completion of Palm Computing and Power On’s testing. The suggested retail price of the product is $129.95, with electronic downloads available for $119.95.

Now Up-to-Date & Contact was one of the first products to be selected for sale at the Apple retail stores, as well as the Apple web site, and is available from Ingram Micro and Apple resellers everywhere.

Additional information, including product screenshots and high-resolution packaging graphics for the new release, is available at:
